BERTHA celebrates its first General Assembly in Porto, Portugal

The BERTHA project consortium recently held its first General Assembly in Porto, Portugal. The meeting took place over two days, April 16th and 17th, and served as a platform for the project’s Steering Committee and Project Management Board to convene.

Among the key participants were representatives from Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia (IBV) (ES). The other partners are Institut Vedecom (FR), Université Gustave Eiffel (FR), German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DE), Computer Vision Center (ES), Altran Deutschland (DE), Continental Engineering Services (FR), CIDAUT Foundation (ES), Austrian Institute of Technology (AT), Universitat de València (ES), Europcar International (FR), Panasonic Automotive Systems Europe (DE), and FI Group (PT), the host, played a pivotal role in facilitating a successful and productive General Assembly.

What was discussed during the General Assembly?

The General Assembly’s primary focus was to assess the project’s progress during its initial six months. Consortium partners actively exchanged information regarding the status of various work packages, tasks completed to date, those currently underway, and those slated for future initiation. Discussions also encompassed project deliverables and their corresponding deadlines.

In addition to the formal proceedings, the General Assembly provided an opportunity for consortium members to foster collaboration and strengthen relationships. The event featured a celebratory dinner, further solidifying the collaborative spirit amongst participants.

The General Assembly served as a significant milestone for the BERTHA project, bringing together its key stakeholders to collectively chart the course for developing a Driver Behavioural Model that will contribute to enhanced safety and achieve a more human-like driving experience for autonomous vehicles.
